Poor January is
almost always alone.
December is always recovering from the celebrations and broken heart February
never phones.
November is a casual stop who shares a drink now and again.
Always wary of the month of March, it has never been a friend.
April just wants to goof around at dear January’s expense.
August is just a neighbor who hides behind a fence.
May has a day like most others that it likes to share itself.
September never has time for January. It's usually stocking all it's shelves.
June is sister who rarely visits.
July escaped to only god knows where.
October is a little scary dressed up in makeup and fake hair.
January is all alone and it really isn't fair.
It's always over, and it's always new.
Always alone.
