Lust

Yesterday there were tender kisses

Until the lightning and the rain

A day they had told us

Tomorrow is the same

The lightning crashed for hours

The rain erased all sound

The roses ceased as flowers

Luscious passion pounds

Cold became the wind

The pain of passion passed

Two bodies together bent

Were doomed by heat at last

Still dreams are wishes borrowed

Were beauty finds new ways

That we can dance until tomorrow

And make better yesterdays
