Everything New

Found like I was today’s prize.

Lifted from the side of the road.

It seems funnier now.

As I stood here out in the cold.

I was obviously not experienced.

Like a new desperate blue

I am what they haven’t seen.

What is anyone to do.

And then you pay the cost.

There is effort and time put in.

You run back from the curb

Only to find a new beginning where somebody found an end.
