Ice Castle

Deep in the woods of the concrete jungle
Silently memories would creep
Would they be the passes of fact so distant?
Or simply the images of sleep
What demons haunt this fallen heart?
The creatures that tear at my mind
Seeming as if they were lovers
Harmful, twisted I find

Casually walking the halls of giants
Frozen eyes that won't escape
The very heat frozen in time
Ice covered air for drapes
And then there is the armor
Solid and dreadful blood red
Placing the cloak to my shoulders
Fitting the helmet to head

Looking from the tower high
To the courtyard far to the west
The casual flags have all been dismembered
The faded and forgotten red crest
Below the bridge has been broken
There has been storming by ghosts of the past
The fight went on for eternity
And was over uncommonly fast

Sometimes it is a place of cold refuge
This escape from everything real
A fire that burns only in color
A world that is too cold to heal
At times it is a place of torture
Where screams would never be heard
There are no other things living
Not a bug, a mouse, or a bird.

Everything is conquered and pure
While everything is also as flawed
The doors have all been broken
The walls have all been red clawed
There has never been another resident
Yet visitors would damage in hoards
The castle of death and destruction
The Ice Castle in which I am lord.
